AGF postpones MLKSC '25 to Jan. 18th
Greenville, South Carolina: Alpha Phi Alpha Greenville Foundation (AGF) and Gamma Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity announced we must postpone our event until next weekend, on January 18th, at the same time, noon. The upcoming Winter storm has forced Furman University and many other businesses to close for the weekend. Tickets for the event have been re-opened until noon on Monday, January 13, 2025. Limited sponsorships are still available.
The MLK Scholarship Celebration seeks to raise funds for the Foundation's efforts to support local youth in the Upstate of South Carolina. The Scholarship Celebration is the oldest celebration of MLK Day in Greenville, SC, with the first event held in 1977. It has been co-sponsored by Gamma Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and Furman University since 2008. The Honorable Representative Kambrell H. Garvin (Richland - District #77) will be our MLK Keynote Speaker. We need your help to expand our programs to more youth in the upstate community. This year's MLK Citizenship Award winner is Ms. Talbetha Ma'Ta Crawford, a local healthcare advocate.
